Our Flagship Door · Sole Irish Supplier of S-500
Spitfire Doors
Premium aluminium entrance doors built around Schüco German‑engineered profiles. S‑200 Designer for contemporary homes. S‑500 Monobloc top‑of‑range with biometric entry, RC3 security and 2.7m maximum height. Wright Windows is the only Irish supplier of the S‑500.
Spitfire is a German‑engineered premium aluminium entrance door system — the door equivalent of a Porsche front grille. Where most premium “composite” doors stop at PAS 24 + RC2 security and 2.2m height, the Spitfire S‑500 delivers RC3 certification, a 0.6 W/m²K U‑value, 2.7m max height, biometric or keyfob entry, and over 600 customisable models.
Wright Windows is the only Irish supplier of the S‑500. We’ve been fitting the S‑200 Designer range for over a decade and we’re the recognised Irish partner for the entire Spitfire lineup. If you’re building a forever home, replacing a tired front entrance, or specifying a door for a property where security and street appeal both matter, this is the door we’d put on our own house.

RC3 = certified to withstand a professional burglar with a crowbar for ≥5 minutes. Most premium doors only certify to RC2.
Security
RC3-certified. Not a marketing label.
Most premium front doors in Ireland top out at PAS 24 + RC2 — that’s a door that resists a casual amateur with hand tools for three minutes. The Spitfire S‑500 is certified to RC3: a professional burglar with a crowbar, for at least five minutes. Three lock levels (BT3, BT5, AGU autolock), end‑to‑end stainless steel shoot‑bolts, anti‑snap and anti‑pick cylinders as standard.
For homes in remote rural settings or visible coastal locations where insurance underwriters ask about security spec, the RC3 certification is what they want to see on the cert sheet.
Customisation
600+ models. Then we customise.
The S‑500 catalogue runs to over 600 distinct door designs — contemporary slabs, vertical‑groove patterns, glass insets, side‑light combinations, top‑lights, sweeping handle integrations. Every model can be ordered in any RAL colour, with a choice of luxurious wood or opulent carbon‑fibre‑effect finishes.
If 600 designs isn’t enough, we can spec a fully bespoke profile through the Schüco system — the door equivalent of a coachbuilder commission. Tell us the look and the size; if it can be built, we’ll build it.
What’s Built In
Every S-500 Comes With
Schüco aluminium profile
The same Schüco aluminium system used in flagship glazing projects worldwide. Engineered in Germany. The single most recognised name in premium aluminium door and window engineering.
Triple-rebated 95mm sash
Three rebates plus three circumferential seals. The thickest sash in the Irish premium door market, with insulation performance that beats most window units.
Biometric or keyfob entry
Fingerprint biometric reader and key‑fob options as standard configurations. Keyless entry for the household, traditional key backup, and lock‑state monitoring on the AGU autolock variant.
End-to-end stainless shoot-bolt
One solid piece of stainless steel runs the full height of the door, into hardened keeps top and bottom. Not stitched at the meeting points like most multi‑point systems — one piece, full length.
Triple-glazed laminated glass
Outer 6.4mm laminated / middle 6mm float / inner 6.4mm laminated. Laminated outer and inner panes resist attack from either side and absorb sound — the door becomes a noise barrier as well as a security one.
Wood or carbon-fibre-effect finish
A choice no other Irish premium door offers. The wood finish is a deep foil that reads as solid timber. The carbon‑fibre effect is a contemporary statement finish for modern architecture — unique to Spitfire in this market.
The Wright Difference
Sole Irish supplier. Direct to the source.
The Spitfire S‑500 is engineered in Germany. We’re the only company in Ireland authorised to supply, configure and install it. No dealer markup, no installer middleman, no “our supplier said” uncertainty — you talk to us, we talk to Spitfire, and the door arrives at our Westmeath workshop ready to fit.
Three generations of door installation experience. The S‑200 has been a Wright fixture for over ten years. When you have questions about lead times, finish samples, security configurations or threshold details, we’re the people with the answers.

Spitfire FAQ
Common Questions
What’s the difference between the S-200 and the S-500?
The S‑200 is the contemporary Designer range — 80–83mm thickness, U‑value 0.9, PAS 24 security, established 10+ years in Ireland. The S‑500 is the top‑of‑range Monobloc Signature Series — 95mm triple‑rebated, U‑value 0.6, PAS 24 + RC3 security, biometric and keyfob entry, max height 2.7m, 600+ models, and finishes including carbon‑fibre. The S‑200 is the design entry point to the Spitfire ecosystem; the S‑500 is the no‑compromise specification.
Is Wright the only Spitfire supplier in Ireland?
For the S‑500, yes — Wright Windows is the only authorised Irish supplier of the S‑500 Signature Series. The S‑200 Designer range may be available through a small number of other Irish dealers, but Wright has the longest‑running Spitfire relationship in the country and stocks both ranges.
How much does a Spitfire door cost?
Spitfire is a premium product. As a benchmark, Irish premium aluminium front doors typically range from €4,800 to €9,500+ including VAT and fitting; the Spitfire S‑500 sits at the top of that band given the specification, customisation level and sole‑Irish‑supplier status. Every door is bespoke — we’ll measure, spec, and provide a free written quote with no obligation.
What does RC3 security actually mean?
RC3 is a European resistance class certification. RC2 (where most premium doors sit) certifies resistance to an experienced amateur with hand tools for at least three minutes. RC3 certifies resistance to a determined attacker using a crowbar plus a screwdriver for at least five minutes. The S‑500 achieves RC3 by combining the 95mm triple‑rebated profile, end‑to‑end stainless shoot‑bolt, anti‑snap/anti‑bump/anti‑pick cylinder, and reinforced hinge fittings.
How does the biometric entry work?
An integrated fingerprint reader is set into the handle assembly. Up to twenty fingerprints can be registered per door — useful for families, cleaners, or property managers. Backup is the keyfob option (a small handheld remote) or the traditional key cylinder. The biometric module is optional; the door works as a high‑security multi‑point lock with or without it.
What sizes can Spitfire reach?
S‑500 maxes out at 1250mm wide by 2700mm tall — the largest entrance door spec on the Irish market. For comparison, most premium composite doors stop at 2200mm tall. For double‑height entrances on contemporary new builds where you want a 2.5m+ single‑leaf door to read as architecturally significant, S‑500 is the only option that delivers it with the security spec to match.
How long does it take to get a Spitfire door fitted?
Once you accept your quote and we have your final configuration sign‑off, manufacturing lead time depends on whether you’ve specified a stock finish or a bespoke model. Stock S‑200 configurations are quicker; bespoke S‑500 with carbon‑fibre finish takes longer. Physical fit on site is usually a single day. Ring or request a quote and we’ll give you current timelines.
