Windows & Doors Dublin

Manufactured in Westmeath, installed across Dublin. Wright Windows builds every window and door at our Milltownpass factory — an hour from the M50 — and fits them with our own installation team. New builds, replacements, period restorations.

Wright Windows has been supplying windows and doors to Dublin homeowners, architects and builders for over five decades. Our factory in Milltownpass, Co. Westmeath sits roughly 75km from Dublin city centre — under an hour up the M4 / M50 — so we cover the entire county from a single Irish manufacturing base.

From contemporary new builds in Castleknock and Dundrum to period refurbishments in Rathmines, Phibsboro and the south Dublin postal districts (Dublin 4, Dublin 6, Dublin 14), we manufacture every window and door to spec and install with our own crew. No subcontracted installers, no third-party resellers, no hand-off between sales and fitting. The same family-owned business that takes the brief in Milltownpass delivers and fits the finished product in Dublin.

If you’re replacing windows in a south-county semi, specifying for a coastal build in Howth or Malahide, or running an apartment scheme in north Dublin, we’ll quote from a measured survey and stand behind the work afterwards. Talk to us about uPVC, aluminium, aluclad, timber or our R9 Legacy composite flush sash — all manufactured in Ireland.

Why Dublin Chooses Wright

Four reasons our quote keeps winning in Dublin.

Manufacturer — not a reseller

Every product is built at our Milltownpass factory. You’re not buying through a Dublin showroom that’s reselling a UK system — you’re buying direct from the people making the window. That keeps the margin reasonable and the answers honest.

Our own installation team

The fitters who arrive in Castleknock, Sandyford or Dundrum are Wright employees, not subcontractors. Named team — Austin, Max, Frank, Declan — with decades on Dublin sites between them.

Period & planning experience

Dublin has a lot of period stock and a lot of conservation restrictions. We’ve installed R9 Legacy on planning-controlled refurbishments and have the drawings, U-value certs and spec sheets to support a conservation officer application.

56 years, still answering the phone

Family-owned since 1969. The factory still picks up at +353 44 922 4600. After-sales is handled by Donal in Milltownpass — not an outsourced call centre.

Dublin FAQ

Common Questions

Do you cover all of Co. Dublin?

Yes — we cover all of Dublin from Swords and Malahide in the north to Dún Laoghaire, Foxrock and the southside postal districts. Recent installs include Castleknock, Honeypark, Clonskeagh and Phibsboro. We’ll travel for any project size, from a single front door to a multi-unit residential scheme.

How far is your factory from Dublin?

Our Milltownpass factory is in Co. Westmeath, roughly 75km from Dublin city centre — about an hour up the M4 and M50. That distance lets us keep the manufacturing in Ireland while still being a local supplier for the Dublin market.

Do you handle new builds in Dublin?

Yes — new-build work is a significant share of what we do in Dublin. We’ve supplied to Bracken Apartments in Castleknock and the Honeypark development in Dún Laoghaire, among others. We’ll work with the architect or main contractor from spec stage through to final fit.

Are your windows suitable for period properties in south Dublin?

Yes — for Georgian and Victorian stock in Rathmines, Phibsboro or the Dublin 4 / 6 / 14 districts, our R9 Legacy composite flush-sash is engineered to replicate 19th-century timber proportions and has been accepted on planning-controlled work. We also supply traditional sliding sash in uPVC, aluclad and timber.

How long does a Dublin installation take?

Manufacturing lead time varies by season — ring +353 44 922 4600 for current timelines. Physical installation of a typical Dublin 3–4 bed re-window is usually 2–4 days, with the house kept weather-tight throughout. A single front door is typically a one-day job.

Can I see Wright windows installed somewhere in Dublin before I commit?

Where we’re working on an active site or the homeowner is happy to host a brief look, yes — we’ll arrange that as part of the quote process. We also welcome Dublin customers to drive out to the Milltownpass showroom (Mon–Fri 9–4:30, by appointment) to see the full product range in person.
