Wright Windows supplies windows and doors across Co. Wicklow from our manufacturing base in Milltownpass. Wicklow is a longer haul than our home counties — around 100km and roughly an hour and three quarters by road — but it’s a market we’ve been serving for years, because the project mix lines up with what we manufacture better than almost anywhere else.

The Garden of Ireland is a premium and period-heavy market. The Bray-Greystones coastal stretch demands aluminium and aluclad systems that won’t corrode in salt-air conditions. The Wicklow Hills and Blessington Lake areas are full of architect-led contemporary new builds that need triple-glazed PassivHaus-territory U-values and oversized glazed openings. Inland, period properties around Wicklow town, Enniskerry and Newtownmountkennedy benefit from the period-correct proportions of R9 Legacy. We can quote across all of it.

Every Wright window or door fitted in Wicklow is manufactured in Milltownpass and installed by our own crew. Not a Bray-based reseller, not a subcontracted fitting team. Same family-owned business, brief to final fit, with the manufacturer answering the phone afterwards.

Why Wicklow Chooses Wright

Four reasons we travel for Wicklow projects.

Coastal-spec aluminium and aluclad

Bray and Greystones’ coastal salt-air conditions wreck poorly-specified frames. Our aluminium and aluclad systems are engineered for marine exposure — powder-coated to standard, with sash sizes to 100kg and stainless rollers throughout.

Triple-glazed for the Hills

The Wicklow Hills and Blessington Lake areas have exposed, elevated sites where wind-driven cold is a serious issue. Our triple-glazed configurations achieve U-values down to 0.7 W/m²K — PassivHaus territory.

Architect-friendly oversized openings

Wicklow is full of architect-led contemporary builds with oversized glazed openings. Our aluminium lift-and-slide systems double-glaze to 2.8m and triple-glaze to 3m, with 2-to-6 leaf options and slimline sightlines.

Period-correct R9 for Enniskerry

Enniskerry and the older centres of Wicklow town carry a lot of period stock that needs a sensitive replacement window. R9 Legacy’s 100mm frame depth and decorative internal mouldings have been accepted on planning-controlled work elsewhere.

Wicklow FAQ

Common Questions

Do you serve Bray / Greystones / Wicklow town?

Yes — the entire county. From the Milltownpass factory we’re roughly an hour and three quarters to Bray, around two hours to Wicklow town, and similar to Greystones. We quote across Wicklow regularly — the project mix is exactly what we manufacture for.

How far do you travel into Wicklow?

All of Co. Wicklow — coastal towns from Bray down to Arklow, the Wicklow Hills, the Blessington/Baltinglass corridor, and the southern Wicklow villages. Travel distance is built into the quote; we don’t add unpredictable surcharges.

Are your windows suitable for coastal exposure in Greystones or Arklow?

Yes — our aluminium systems are specifically engineered for marine and exposed conditions, with high-grade powder-coat finishes and stainless steel rollers. Aluclad (aluminium exterior, timber interior) is also a strong choice for coastal Wicklow properties. We’ll talk you through the right finish spec for the location.

Do you handle new builds in the Wicklow Hills?

Yes — the Hills and Blessington Lake areas are full of architect-led new builds that need triple glazing, oversized openings and PassivHaus-territory U-values. We’ll work directly with the architect from spec stage and supply lift-and-slide doors up to 3m for triple-glazed configurations.

How long does a Wicklow installation take?

Manufacturing lead time varies by season — ring +353 44 922 4600 for current timelines. Physical installation of a typical 3–4 bed re-window in Wicklow is usually 2–4 days with the house kept weather-tight throughout. Larger architect-led projects are quoted bespoke.

Can I see the product range without driving to Westmeath?

Where we have an active site within reach, we’ll arrange a brief look as part of the quote process. We also run a 360° virtual showroom tour you can walk through online. And for Wicklow customers willing to make the trip, the Milltownpass showroom is open Mon–Fri 9–4:30 by appointment.
